4-H Leader.
Youth Mentor.
Banker.

That’s Jody.

For Jody Kerr, leadership isn’t just a job—it’s a way of life. Whether she’s helping kids navigate the world of 4-H or guiding customers through one of life’s biggest purchases, she leads with patience, care, and a deep sense of purpose.

Head, Heart, Hands & Health.

Jody is a Vice President at Security State Bank, specializing in mortgage, consumer, and commercial lending. She’s also a lifelong 4-H member and horse leader, heavily involved in the fair and on the indoor arena board. At home, she runs what she lovingly refers to as a “mini-zoo”—proof that animals and agriculture are in her DNA.

Confidence Starts with Trust

“Some of the kids who come into our 4-H horse program are intimidated at first,” Jody explains. “Horses are large, powerful animals, and it can be overwhelming. But once they start to build confidence, everything changes. They learn to trust themselves, and they grow in ways they didn’t expect.”

It’s the same approach she brings to her clients at the bank—especially first-time homebuyers.

“Buying a home is a huge milestone. There are a lot of steps, a lot of questions, and it’s easy to feel uncertain,” she says. “My job is to walk alongside people and help them feel confident at every turn.”

Jody finds joy in being a steady presence—whether she’s coaching a nervous rider through their first show or helping a family close on their forever home. To her, it all comes down to support, encouragement, and creating a safe space for growth.

The Security State Bank Difference

At Security State Bank, Jody is one of many who go above and beyond—not just because it’s her job, but because it’s who she is.
