Rancher.
Neighbor.
Banker.

That’s Jim.

At first glance, running a cattle ranch and working at a bank might not seem all that similar. But for Jim Randall, both roles are built on the same foundation: commitment, relationships, and a deep respect for the people and land around him.

Hard work and heart.

Jim is a fifth-generation rancher, working alongside his father and son, who proudly represents the sixth. On their grassland ranch founded in 1889, they manage several hundred head of cattle in a traditional cow-calf operation. It’s not easy work—ranching demands long days, constant attention, and a willingness to show up, every day of the year. But for Jim, it’s not just a job. It’s a legacy.

“There’s a special kind of pride that comes with doing something your family has done for generations,” Jim says. “You want to do it well. You want to do it right. And you want to pass it on even better than you found it.”

Pride In Everything You Do

That same mindset guides Jim’s work at Security State Bank, where he serves customers with the same care and consistency he brings to the ranch. Whether helping a family grow their business, purchase land, or invest in their future, Jim sees his role as a partner—not just a banker.

“Our customers are hardworking, loyal, and driven. I get that—because that’s how we live, too,” Jim says. “I take pride in walking alongside them, helping them succeed.”

From early mornings on the ranch to client meetings at the bank, Jim’s life is a reflection of Security State Bank’s core belief: people matter most.

Local Roots. Real Relationships.

Because whether you’re raising cattle or raising capital, it all comes down to trust, grit, and knowing someone’s in it with you
